New Text Editor - We're now using TinyMCE as our text editor. This is an exciting improvement that now lets you edit your text and use formatting without knowing HTML.

Friend Message When Adding A New Friend - A user requested the ability to add a short message to friend requests messages. Now before your friend requests are sent you can add a short message and preview the email that is sent.

Upload Pages Rewritten - We have finally improved the look of all upload pages. They look a little better now so that it is easier to understand.

Say Hi to the Troops Page - We are excited about this new section of our site. Here you can send a message to our troops even if you don’t know anyone in particular in the military. Use this page to send your support and words of encouragement. These messages will reach our troops serving all over the world!

New Upload History Page - This new page shows your upload history as well as your friends upload history. You can enter a search range of specific dates making it easier to find out what has been uploaded while you weren't on the site.

In The Media Page Added - HomesickGI has been in the media many times. We have tried to put most of their logos on our In The Media page.

FAQ Page Added - A HomesickGI frequently asked questions page is added. We will update this from time to time with questions our users ask.

Updated Homepage - We are constantly trying to make our site easier to use by adding useful navigation links and text. The homepage is now updated with a little more detail about how HomesickGI can be useful to a user that has not yet signed up.

New Content Icon - Now its easier to find out which friends have newly updated content. If they create a new album or they upload new pictures, audio, or videos an icon will appear next to their content or their profile picture letting you know that something new was added.

Album Navigation - Got some feedback that some links were broken and that other links were confusing. Just solved the problem by fixing the broken link and adding a few more so that navigation is easier.

Picture Slideshow - Cool new feature upload to the site. You can now view the pictures of your album as a slideshow. Just browse to your albums and click on the slideshow link.

Audio - Finally updated the audio support. It was disabled for quiet a while but now it's back and working good. A user can now upload mp3 or wav audio files into their album and have it play back easily from their album.

Group Pages - The majority of group pages are now updated with the redesign making the group pages interesting and easier to use. Only a few very minor group pages still have the old layout.

Homepage & Toolbar - Our homepage and the vertical toolbar to the left were also redesigned. I think they both look much better.

Group Pages - A new layout for the group pages is being designed. So far the Group Search and the main View Groups pages have been updated. More updates to follow.

Wolfpaw Media, LLC - I've posted into the footer a link to our web and graphic design company Wolfpaw Media. Check out their newly designed web site.

Album Cover Images - It's now easier to select a thumbnail for each of your albums. Just go to your albums page, click on "Select Cover Image", and click on the thumbnail you'd like to use.

Video Player - I am very excited to mention that we are now using a video player in the albums page designed by Jeroen Wijering (http://www.jeroenwijering.com/). It has just the right features and design that it fits well for the moment. He also supports audio playback and a picture slide show in his media player. Perhaps we'll be able to use those down the road also.

Firefox Support - There were a few problems using Firefox like not being able to upload files. The error usually show was HTTP Error #605.

Support Our Troops - Added a new page Support Our Troops with links to other sites that also support the troops. Visit the links and check out their sites

Invite Link - On the send invitation page, it now shows your invite address. This address is helpful because you can copy and paste this into your emails or any other web post so that your friends can join Homesick GI and automatically have a friend request sent to you. Thanks to Becky for the idea.

What's New - Of'course this is the first new item to list. I've added this page to keep track of our progress as well as keep ideas for future features. Thanks to Eugene for suggesting it.
